My Sketches: Happy Birthday Luhan!

Happy belated birthday to my manly man, Luhan oppa! You turned 24 or 25 in Korean ages today. Please take good care of your self, always smile and happy, keep laughing, stay cute, handsome and awesome. Don't forget to keep those young looking genes strong, oppa. May God bless you with health, wealth and prosperity in your life. No words can explain how much I love you ❤❤❤

Anyway, today I drew a simple picture of Luhan for his birthday. I'm sorry, it's hard to draw him because his face is just too perfect to capture on paper. I only used HB pencil and an eraser. It's bad I know, but hope you like it :')

K-pop Corner: Top 10 Lovable Korean Boy Group Maknae (Personal Opinion)

For those who new into K-pop, maknae (막내) is a Korean word used to refer to the youngest in a group of people. If there are two or more from the same year, the maknae would be the one who was born the last. Maknae should be the cutest one, adorable, and of course has particular charm. Not only that, they are also talented. Maknae can be really childish, but can be so evil sometimes! However they still have naive and innocent side, right? I actually think that the main purpose of a maknae in group is to make noona fall for them ㅋㅋㅋ It is said that if the maknae is popular, everyone in the group is popular too. Don't be surprised, for some reasons people's bias is almost always the maknae. I don't understand why those maknae love to screw up my bias list because it's just too hard not to love them.

Here is a list of 10 maknae from 10 korean boy groups (in no particular order)Please bear in mind that this is my personal opinion. ((If you don't like it, go make your own list then)). Sorry if your maknae isn't in it, but it's so hard to decide you know. There's just so many of them!

1. Sehun - EXO (1994)

Well, we don't need a reason to love him. He is quite known for having so much poker face, but when he smiles.. sun shines ☺ Sehun is a naturally handsome guy, has a lot of charm and his face features are perfect. He may look cold and shy, but he's a cute maknae with lots of aegyo. Let's be honest, may be Sehun is not the best rapper or the best dancer in group even though he is pretty good at dancing, but I think his main speciality in EXO is attracting noona. Sehun is effortlessly a sexy masterpiece, his broad shoulders make people want to lean on him hahaha. Don't forget, he nailed every hair color especially the rainbow hair. Yehet!

2. Taemin - SHINee (1993)

Our adorable, dancing machine maknae of SHINee. Taemin is the one who got me into K-pop because of his amazing and outstanding dancing skills. It's not surprising if he's considered as one of the best dancers in K-pop. I love how he's always smiling, no matter what. Taemin has grown up so much since debut and become more mature and masculine, his singing and dancing skills also get better and better every time SHINee comebacks. Sometimes I miss Taemin with his mushroom hair, angelic smile, innocent face and his blinking habit when he gets nervous T_T Though Taemin has phisically changed from a boy to a man, he's still the cute and sweet Taeminnie we all know and love :')

3. Jungkook - BTS (1997)

BTS' Golden Maknae, Jungkook! Sooo young and talented in everything. Besides being a maknae, Jungkook is also a visual, main dancer and vocalist of the group. Don't worry he also can rap. Oh man, this guy is such a whole package! Do you ever see sleeping beauty Jungkook? Aweee so cute like a baby. At first I saw him, the way he spoke was more mature & manlier than other members. Yes, he is incredibly mature for a boy his age but wait until you watch Bangtan Bomb. Trust me, you'll instantly fall in love with him. This kid has taken my life for real, a bias list wrecker.

4. Kyuhyun - Super Junior (1988)

Who doesn't know this Evil Maknae?! Every time I hear these words, I just remember Kyuhyun and his puppy eyes *_* Known as "Prince of Ballad" and one of the lead vocalists of Super Junior, Kyuhyun can make any song sounds beautiful. Thanks to his gentle, soft and powerful yet melodious voice. One of the greatest vocalists in K-pop, in my opinion. Apart from singing, his variety skills are good too. He isn't that good at dancing but he seems so much more confident now, although sometimes it still looks awkward. Evil Kyu is notorious for bullying his hyung, he can even command them to do stuff for him, but actually he really respects them ☺ Oppa still looks cute for his age now.

5. Chansung - 2PM (1990)

The funky and mature 2PM's Old Italian Maknae, wait.. who can believe he is the maknae? Yup, another maknae who looks older than his actual age (and the others). Chansung likes banana, a lot, the members even gave him a nickname "Chanana". Lol. He actually had his debut as an actor first before becoming a member of 2PM. Even though he is the youngest, he has the most ex-girlfriend in group. Ugh, playboy Chansung. Tall proportional posture, handsome face, nice six-pack abs and great smile; he is the definition of an ideal guy. A perfect namja. Ah, he also has a cat that has become almost as popular as Chansung himself! He is always really serious and hardworking in everything he does. I love the way he laughs, so cute and adorable (●´艸`)ヾ Oppa~~~

6. Seungri - Big Bang (1990)

Everyone's favorite Baby Panda! The first time I saw him, I couldn't believe that Seungri is the maknae because he looked mature more than all of Big Bang members, until I found out he was so funny and cute. He is always bullied by his hyung who will make fun of him or tease him whenever they want to, but he enjoys it and he still loves them so much hahaha. Although he is noted for his dancing skills, his voice is really nice too  He revealed that his dark circles can't be medically treated, oh thank God I'm not alone and he also once said, he didn't want to be left as Big Bang's cute maknae. No, Seungri, because you're our manly maknae (っ∩_∩)っ

7. Sungjae - BtoB (1995)

Sungjae is a funny and dorky maknae, if you're Melodies you must have known that he tried to break watermelon with his head lol. Fans called him Master of Hitting Watermelon. Apart from being extremely talented (and crazy), Sungjae has well-manered personality that makes him look more attractive. I seriously hope Sungjae gains even more attention because he deserves love from everybody ☺ Anyway, he is still my favorite among all the maknae.

8. Changmin - TVXQ (1988)

The most charismatic maknae? Of course, it's Lord Voldemin Changmin. He made a debut with DBSK in 2003 when he was only 14 years old (15 in Korea) and 10 years have passed, a 25 years-old Changmin is even cuter than 15 years-old Changmin. щ(ಥ◡ಥ)щ Good looking, tall, mature, and blowing minds with his strong voice, what more could you ask for? It's said that TVXQ is not TVXQ without Changmin's outstanding high notes and screams. Through the years, he grew up to be more manly and charismatic. As a duo along with Yunho, Changmin has improved his dancing skills and they truly complement each other so well.

9. Zelo - B.A.P (1996)

A 96 liner, here comes the Giant Baby! Zelo has been praised for his awesome rapid rapping skills at a very young age. He drops a rap at 16-syllables per second guys. Though he is the maknae, but he is the tallest member in B.A.P. Remember his ramen hair? It was possibly his cutest style ever lol. His cheeks look so pinchable omg and his facial expressions are the best :3 Okay, he just looks like a baby. Zelo really loves playing skateboard too. Cherry tomato...내꺼야! Hahaha

10. Mir - Mblaq (1991)

Maknae rapper. Hyper and loud? Absolutely, Mir. He is actually very childish, immature, and extremely funny at times. He is the group's mood maker and he knows how to entertaint people. He has lots of jokes that never fail to make us laugh, sometimes he also makes fun of his hyungs. A lot people say that Thunder is the maknae, but look at Mir. His behavior says it all. Yes, Mir is the real wild maknae.

K-pop dictionary:
  • Bias: Your most favorite member of a certain group or someone you are in favor of.
  • Aegyo (애교): Act of being cute. A person with a lot of aegyo is a person who shows a lot of "cuteness."
  • Hyung (): Older/elder brother (male to male).
  • Oppa (오빠): Older/elder brother (female to male).
  • Naekkeoya (내꺼야): It's mine.
  • Namja (남자): Man/guy/boy.
  • Noona (누나): Older sister (male to female). Because I'm older than Sehun, Zelo, Jungkook, and Sungjae, they should call me "noona". Lol.

Beauty Thursday: Etude House Every Month Cleansing Foam #5 Fresh & Clean Green Tea

Etude House has released their newest Every Month Cleansing Foam that comes in all different formulas for all different skin types. Ranging from avocado to red wine, it is available in 12 variants with different textures that best suits your skin type. I chose #5 Fresh & Clean Green Tea variant for uneven, troubled skin. I was super excited to try this since I've been seeing green tea in so many different products and reading about all of its benefits.

Every Month Cleansing Foam comes in a 100 ml plastic tube with flip top cap that makes it mess-free and easy to travel with. #5 Fresh & Clean Green Tea is a white cream that foams up nicely with only a small amount used. It has a pretty strong citrusy green tea scent that can be a little bit overpowering and is hard to ignore. This cleanser lives up to its name, my skin feels super refreshed and clean every time after using it. It completely strips the oil off my face, but it does make it feel tight and a little dry, so I have to follow up with a light moisturizer. I've been using it  for over a month now and I notice that it clears up my acne right away. I find it really helps dry up pimples and reduce blackheads and whiteheads.

I love this cleanser. But the more I use it, the less I like it. As a daily cleanser, I think it dries out my skin a little bit too much and leaves it flaky. I also personally feel that it makes my face oilier faster than normal. It doesn't remove makeup all that well, so you may need a makeup remover if you use waterproof makeup. I always do double cleansing everyday, so it is not that big deal.

If you have normal to dry skin, this might not be the cleanser for you. I recommend this for people with acne-prone and oily skin. You may feel a bit tight, but if you use a good moisturizer afterwards you should be fine. It is worth to try since the price is extremely cheap for Korean beauty product. I  bought it from testerkorea.com  for only 3500 Won (37.000 rupiah). Good value for money. Currently, I'm eyeing on #6 Trouble Care Tea Tree, so I will not repurchase it once this one is done.

Notes: Make sure that you are purchasing authentic Korean beauty products from official stores or authorized distributors. Please be aware that buying beauty products online from unauthorized sellers should be done with caution. If it is extremely cheap (and not on sale), this could be a sign that the product is fake.
